Earlier this week (December 10, 2014), ESD’s Neslihan Tas was awarded an appointment to the editorial board of FEMS Microbiology Ecology, a journal published by Wiley–Oxford University Press. The appointment is for a renewable 3-year term.

FEMS (which stands for Federation of European Microbiology Societies) brings together 50 member societies from 36 European countries, covering over 30,000 microbiologists. FEMS facilitates exchange of scientific knowledge to all microbiologists in Europe and worldwide by publishing five microbiology journals and organizing a biennial congress for microbiologists around the world. It also initiates campaigns such as the European Academy of Microbiology (EAM) and the European Microbiology Forum (EMF).

Congratulations, Neslihan!
