Congratulations to Andy Sessler, Founder of the Earth Sciences Division, recipient of the Enrico Fermi Award

Former Lab Director, Andy Sessler receives the Enrico Fermi Award today. View this live stream at 12 pm PST today!

Sessler founded the Earth Sciences Division in July of 1977 which was during a time of growing awareness, and concern over, environmental issues which ushered in an increased interest in earth processes. Understanding earth's processes continues to be fundamental attribute of ESD's research today.
