A Natural Oil Spill Dispersal Process

A team of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory researchers—including ESD scientists Janet Jansson (Ecosystems Biology Program Head), Olivia Mason, Romy Chakraborty, Sharon Borglin, Hoi-Ying Holman, Eric Dubinsky, Markus Bill, Regina Lamendella, Lauren Tom, Mark Conrad, and Terry Hazen—found that nature (in addition to human efforts) played a role in the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill dispersal process.
